For companies
hiring with RemoteAbroad.
What does RemoteAbroad do?
RemoteAbroad finds native German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian speakers who already live abroad, for companies in Germany, the Netherlands and the Nordics. You get the same language and culture in your team, often for significantly less than hiring the same role at home.
How can your rates be so affordable?
Because we practise what we preach. Our whole team works remotely, just like the people we place, so we don’t pay for expensive offices or the overhead of a traditional agency. That lets us keep our fees low and pass the savings on to you.
How much does RemoteAbroad charge?
About 4–8% of what the same hire would earn at home in their first year, split into four payments of 25%: on the start date and after months 1, 2 and 3. If the hire leaves, the remaining payments stop. Traditional agencies in Europe usually charge 15–30% of first-year salary, which is 2–3 months’ salary or more.
What do I pay before someone starts?
Nothing. The first of the four fee payments is due on the hire’s start date.
What if the hire isn’t the right fit?
You approve the screening questions before we search, and we keep adjusting the shortlist to your feedback. If a hire leaves within the first three months, the remaining fee payments stop, so you never pay the full fee for someone who didn’t stay.
How fast will I see candidates?
Your first screened profiles usually arrive within a week. You approve the screening questions before we start, and we keep adjusting to your feedback.
Which roles can you fill?
Sales, account management, partnership managers, business development, customer success, customer support, marketing and SEO, branding, copywriting and e-commerce. Another role or language in mind? Just ask.
How is the hire employed?
Most hires work on a B2B contract and send you a monthly invoice. If you prefer employment, we can set it up through an Employer of Record (EOR) partner, which handles the local contract, payroll and compliance for an extra monthly fee.
What about time zones and working hours?
Working hours are agreed between you and the candidate for each job. Many of our candidates live in the same time zone as Central Europe or within one or two hours of it; others live further away and overlap with part of your day. You decide what the role needs.
For talent
working from anywhere.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. RemoteAbroad is completely free for candidates, always. Employers pay our fee.
Can I really work from anywhere?
Yes. You can live anywhere in the world. Working hours and the overlap with your employer’s time zone are agreed with the employer for each job, so some roles suit Europe-based candidates and others work fine from Asia or the Americas.
Who can apply?
Native speakers of German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian who live abroad or are planning to move. Typical roles are in sales, account management, customer success and support, marketing, copywriting and e-commerce.
What kind of contract will I get?
Usually a B2B contract, where you invoice the company every month as a freelancer or through your own company. Some employers hire through an Employer of Record (EOR), which gives you a local employment contract instead. The job ad tells you which.
What happens after I apply?
We read every application. When a role fits your language, experience and location, we contact you for a short screening, then introduce you to the employer. If nothing fits yet, you stay in our talent pool and hear from us when something does. If you want to leave the talent pool, just email us and we’ll delete your data.
